Enon scouts will be collecting winter items toys and reading material for children placed in a homeless shelter.

Germantown Friends School students, faculty and families will participate in a walk around Germantown to learn about the different shops and organizations there.

Did you know that socks are the #1 most requested clothing item in the homeless community? A fresh pair of socks and a snack ‘rolled together’ are our small way of making a big difference in the lives of those in need. We will be packaging snacks and/or hygiene items such as toothpaste or a toothbrush. They will be finished off with a ribbon and a note of encouragement from a child to bring compassion and a bit of hope to individuals experiencing homelessness.

We will be creating cards for a local senior center, making murals with older students, cleaning classrooms and the staff lounge and helping teachers with projects in their classrooms.

Each house of worship does a a thirty-minute service with a message about their faith, traditions and beliefs, followed by fellowship meal or refreshments.

The third annual Poetry Unplugged is a night of spoken word and music featuring artists from around the country using the life and work of Martin Luther King as inspiration. Poetry Unplugged will be a night of TRUTH and POWER.

Activity Kits for St. Christopher’s Children’s Hospital – Assemble craft kits for children in the hospital

Students, family members, and staff will be making flashcards for incoming kindergarten families.

Students from 3-8th grades will go into the community for service. We will go work with Head Start, and Volunteers of America in Allentown.

Ongoing monthly project, collecting old batteries and other hazardous waste to be dropped off at a recycling plant

At this event, we will be building bat boxes and partnering with The Tookany/Tacony-Frankford Watershed. The bat boxes will be placed on Manor College's Campus. We are inviting current students, faculty, staff, and alumni of the college to join us for this event.

The Assemble Prenatal Food Boxes project prepares nutritious kits of food for Chester County Hospital to be distributed to pregnant low-income women who are treated in clinics.

This event honors the life and accomplishments of Dr. King and his commitment to equality, social justice, advancement, and opportunity for all.

The PTOs of all 5 schools are providing supplies so that we can complete hands on service activities: Birthday kits/Cradles to Crayons

There will be multiple tables in which service activities will be taking place. Each table will focus on a certain aspect of service.

Habitat for Humanity Build Day includes things such as a focus on beautification or renovation of homes and neighborhoods.

Cradles To Crayons is dedicating the month of January to Martin Luther King, celebrating his legacy of service in the community.

In partnership with local fire stations, first responders, and community centers Cradles to Crayons will hold a collection across the Greater Philadelphia five-county region.

Decorating gift bags and boxes in order to help missions to help women in Kenya earn money whole providing opportunity.

Volunteers will be helping to clean up inside and around the Skate House.

do some packaging for material aid projects.

Participants will join together for a march to the Martin Luther King
Statue and then to the Rotunda from the volunteer site for a program in
honor of the day.
