packing bags for homeless

Members and friends of First Baptist Church of Crestmont will work together to clean, organize, make minor repairs and other things as needed to assist in the upkeep of The House of God.

The teen ministry will be cleaning the indoor portion of the church.

The younger ministry (ages 5-12) will be packing toiletry bags for the homeless.

Indoor cleaning and organizing of the church and helping seniors in the surrounding community

Our student government and junior honor society will run Alex's lemonade stand, and all of the proceeds will be donated to the organization @ https://www.alexslemonade.org/about/meet-alex.
We will also host a clothing drive to benefit the St. Patrick's Association.

We will celebrate the legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., in partnership with One Village Alliance in order to create a family-friendly event focusing on civic engagement, social justice, and the arts.

Students, family members, and staff will be assembling sock and snack rolls for local homeless shelters.

Students, family members, and staff will be packing donated items for homeless teens, refugees, and those in disaster areas.

Students, family members, and staff will be making breakfast bags for the homeless.

Students, family members, and staff will be creating no-sew bags to hold care packages for the PA Workwear Program.

The afternoon the children will join their parents for lunch and attend a presentation by a guest speaker. The afternoon will wrap up with presentations by our health education center on health, well-being and careers in healthcare.

Cradles To Crayons is dedicating the month of January to Martin Luther King, celebrating his legacy of service in the community.

In partnership with local fire stations, first responders, and community centers Cradles to Crayons will hold a collection across the Greater Philadelphia five-county region.

Before Service Day, we will collect art supplies to make Valentine's cards. On Service Day, parishioners and guests of St. Andrew's Episcopal Church will make Valentine's Cards for members of the parish who cannot make it to church anymore. These cards will be mailed to each home bound member's house. Extra Valentine's Cards will be hand delivered to a local retirement community.

The gun safety table will work to bring awareness and change to the issue of gun safety. Volunteers will have the opportunity to write letters to address these issues with politicians both at the local and federal level. At the service day event, participants will have the opportunity to make a poster for a peaceful demonstration promoting gun safety. The peaceful and positive witness will take place in Yardley, PA after our main Service event.

On Monday January 21, 2019, the Crispus Attucks Association will be holding its annual MLK Day of Service. At 8 AM we will begin with musical presentations from local organizations and schools , as well as community members.Shortly after the "Living the Dream Award" ceremony will take place for selected high school students that represent what MLK stood for. Lastly, the annual breakfast is served while attendees can sign up for volunteer sites throughout the city.
