This is a diverse and inclusive group of the York Community. We invite residents, churches, business owners, non-profits, schools and community leaders. to participate in the hard conversation that community leaders must have to move our city forward. This is our 7th year for the event that we had partnered with the Former Mayor C. Kim Bracey.

Students and staff of the The Curtis institute of music will be working at George Washington high school; cleaning up, painting, ect. inside and outside of the school.

There will be more than 25 projects organized by Abington Friends School allowing for in excess of 600 participants. Projects offered are for all skill and age levels and we partner with 15 different organizations.

Hat and Scarf Making Project for students and families in need

Placemat making for Whosoever Gospel Mission at AFS

Hot Chocolate Cups/ Breathing Room Foundation assemble cups for families while waiting at the hospital/Dr.’s office

Soup making and soup-in-a-jar assembly for Breathing Room Foundation

TTF (Watershed Partnership Project) Bird feeder building to support local wildlife

Volunteers from partner organizations and the community will asist older adults residing in Northeast Philadelphia neighborhoods with weatherization and minor home maintenance. Tasks may include: changing hard to reach light bulbs and smoke detectors, washing and weatherizing windows, covering window air conditioners. Basement and garage cleanouts, Minor home repairs.

At this event, we will be building bat boxes and partnering with The Tookany/Tacony-Frankford Watershed. The bat boxes will be placed on Manor College's Campus. We are inviting current students, faculty, staff, and alumni of the college to join us for this event.
