Due to weather we changed our project... we made tie blankets to give to people on campus and in the community who are going through a hard time and could use a "security blanket"

Create fleece tie blankets for the Camden County Women’s Shelter children.

Assist in the care of sheltered animals

Creating cards to send to our brave men and women a card of hope and thanks.

Friends and Family CPR provided by the Gloucester Township EMS. One hour class with all recipients receiving a card of completion. (limit of 30)

Located in the Glendora section of Gloucester Township, the tavern was built in 1756. Service project entails cleaning up the home and assisting in archiving old letters. Project is limited to ten volunteers - adults must accompany children.

Help the men and women of the Fire Department with firehouse duties.

Create signs for the annual 5K race.

Sort out new hats, scarves and gloves for the Cathedral Kitchen guests.

Located in the Erial section of Gloucester Township, this campground has undergone extensive renovations over the last few years. Service project entails cleaning of the buildings and outside area. This is an outside activity.

Make 800 PB & J Sandwiches and deliver a take home snack for those in need.

Make 100 PB & J sandwiches for Chews United Methodist Church’s outreach in Camden City.

Sorting donated shoes. Through the collection and sale of used shoes, Soles4Souls helps create self-sustaining jobs that generate desperately needed revenues throughout impoverished communities.

Located in downtown Blackwood this organization accepts donations of clothing and housing items. Volunteers will sort and coordinate donations.

The students will assist the residents at Lions Gate in several different ways including bingo and arts and crafts. The children might also help the residents get to and from the activity rooms, which may include helping them in their wheelchairs. If time permits, we will also have a question and answer period with the residents to find out what the world was like when the residents grew up. At the end of our time there, the students will read Martin Luther King’s “I Have a Dream" speech.

We would like to invite our surrounding community (Society Hill) to watch the documentary about the 1968 Memphis Sanitation Worker Strike entitled, "At The River I Stand." From there we would like to have a representative from AFSME talk to the group about the role of unions. We would also like to ask attendees to bring donations of school supplies for Nebinger Elementary School which is in our community. Highland students ages 14-18 will gather food resources to make approximately 250-300 perishable meals to be distributed to the greater Camden County area food-bank.

Volunteers can make toys that will be donated to Pets House at local Animal Shelters
