The week of MLK day several different groups (wrestlers, cheerleaders, Tri-M Music Honor Society, Friends of Rachel Club, Student Council, Interact & environmental club) will do service projects after school. making breakfast bags for Aid for Friends!

The elders of the church are hosting this event to honor MLK, by keeping the dream alive.

We will meet in the Red Youth Building at 250 Green Lane, Bristol, PA 19007 (Calvary Baptist Church) for a MLK Day of Service Informational Presentation (and donuts!). We will package and prepare invitations for residents of Bristol Borough to take part in the 2020 SouperBowl of Caring on SuperBowl Sunday. We will then distribute the invitations to all 2500 homes in Bristol Borough. A tandem event will take place on Sunday, Feb. 2 (SuperBowl Sunday). We will go through the streets of Bristol

Older children and adults will works on packing bags for children in foster care and a woman's shelter. There will be movies for younger kids to be entertained.

Bring, prepare and serve brunch for residents and volunteers at Bethesda Broad Street, a permanent residence for formerly homeless men and women.

The annual MLK Day of Service will be held at 605 South Duke St. York Pa. Beginning in the morning community members gather for a free breakfast, unsung heroes are recognized, various artistic presentations, civic dialogue and words from community members that echo the vision on Martin Luther King. More info forthcoming.

Volunteers will work on environmental stewardship and beautification of a community service center, house of worship, surrounding areas including neighborhood sidewalks, and public area of playground and center square. If there is inclement weather, activities will be indoors. Upon arrival: all volunteers under 18 must provide parent or guardian consent form or sign one at site. WCSC's event will conclude after a provided lunch at 12:00 pm.

We are planning a full day of activities starting with breakfast arts and crafts at 219 north 52nd street.

Make Cards for the Elderly & Military

Write a letter to an Ecuadorian child, which will be delivered during the February 2020 program, and create a drawing of an Ecuadorian animal.Participants are asked to bring a gently used or new pair of children’s shoes to the Education Gallery through the month of January, to be given to the children living in rural Ecuador.

Please see above. Organizations that will be there are Central PA Food Bank, STEP AmeriCorps, Lycoming College, and Pennsylvania College of Technology. 2000 Healthy Meal Kits will be packed and then distributed throughout the week to individuals and families facing food insecurity.

Participants will paint and clean the church, clean the yard and have a lesson about Dr. King for the the children.

Trash Cleanup for Martin Luther King, Jr. Day
Help us remove trash at Bristol Marsh Nature Preserve in honor of the Martin Luther King, Jr. Day of Service. The more trash we collect, the less will get washed into our waterways!

Food donation and sorting. This is a food bank that people can go to get food and furniture

AAMP in Partnership with Citizen's Bank looks forward to hosting our annual MLK Weekend! On January 18th, we will offer $2 admission to the general public and will fill the museum with arts & crafts activities

The project will be to feed and service the homeless on the January 20th, by serving hot soup with sandwiches. In addition will provide personal packets with other usable items.

We are setting up a green area inside the building where we will plant seeds for beautifying our outdoor space this coming spring. As an offshoot, there will be an educational hands-on greenhouse program presented to children we are recruiting to join our Green Team - the Rec volunteers who care for our outdoor planting areas.

Food packaging and delivery to homeless and/or food bank. Food donations accumulated during month preceding MLK day.

Each year, the work of more than 1000 volunteers keeps Bartram’s Garden a vibrant, safe green space for almost 95,000 neighbors and visitors. We are excited to dig into another year of work. Volunteers will work with our staff on seasonal tasks like weeding, planting, cleaning, pruning, and light maintenance. No special experience or skills required. We will be completing the cataloguing of books, moving instructional materials out of the library and alphabetizing and sorting the fiction and non-fiction into order. We will also hang book covers to decorate the library and label bins of series books.

AAMP in Partnership with Citizen's Bank looks forward to hosting our annual MLK Weekend! On January 18th, we will offer $2 admission to the general public and will have read-alouds, sTreehouse books will be partnering with AAMP to donate books for our service project!

The Choice is Yours/JEVS Human Services will host its 4th annual Dr. Martin Luther King Day of HOPE (Helping other people excel). We will be distributing food, clothes, toiletries, books, household items, and toys.

Volunteers will participate in various easy, hands on service projects throughout the school.

Inform the people ,encourage, in power and feed

Students, families and staff will be creating craft bags for children in St. Christopher's Hospital.

Students, families, and staff will be collecting and organizing books, coats, and stuffed animals for children at the Stenton Family Manor homeless shelter.

Students, families, and staff will be making flashcards for incoming Kindergarten students.

The District Attorney's Office Staff, along with YAP panelist and participating youth will sort donations and assemble individual toiletry bags. The goal is to make 200 bags.

We will be making fleece blankets for children in the foster care system.
We will also be collecting new books.
