On behalf of MLK Day of Service our king day project will take place on January 18, 2016 and our plans will be to paint, clean up and beautify our school at Martin L. King High School and all doors throughout the school. There will be students there completing their community services hours as well. The idea is to give the students a brighter feeling about the school by covering over the institutional grey doors and walls. The time will be from 9:30 A.M. until 4:00 P.M.The Martin Luther King Jr. Day of Service is an opportunity for the MLK High School community to make their "day off" a "day on" by completing a variety community service projects throughout the day. This is a significant and necessary day to help student to empower their vision of education and to take pride in their school mission. Some of our community partners will be Wawa Foundation Inc., Home Depot, State Representative Dwight Evans, Big Brother Big Sisters of Philadelphia, Concerned Black Men, and Representative Stephen Kinsey office, and Enon Tabernacle Baptist Church.
