The Bethany-Fenwick Area Chamber of Commerce announced the 31st Annual Ocean to Bay Bike Tour will be held Friday and Saturday, April 24 and 25. Cyclists can choose a 30-, 50-, 62.5-, or 100-mile ride. The Office of the Child Advocate Court Appointed Special Advocate Program of Delaware is expanding its efforts to represent the interests of abused and neglected children.

The program is seeking qualified adults to serve as CASA volunteers, trained members of the community who are appointed by Family Court judges to advocate for the best interests of abused and neglected children in court proceedings. The CASA volunteer conducts an independent investigation into the child’s life.

2020 SouperBowl of Caring on SuperBowl Sunday.

“Send Valentine’s Greetings to a Child in the Hospital,” 10 a.m. Jan. 29. All are welcome to drop in and design a card for a child in the hospital. Cards will be sent to Cards for Hospitalized Kids, an internationally recognized charitable organization. Registration is not required.

Students will go to Cradles to Crayons to help sort and/or clean donated children's items such as clothing, shoes, books and toys.

Copper Beech will be a center to collect school supplies from the community of students, families, and leaders starting from December 2nd to January 17th. There will be an assembly on Jan. 7th to commemorate MLK's life and the importance of character that C.A.R.E.S.

The week of MLK day several different groups (wrestlers, cheerleaders, Tri-M Music Honor Society, Friends of Rachel Club, Student Council, Interact & environmental club) will do service projects after school. making breakfast bags for Aid for Friends!

We will meet in the Red Youth Building at 250 Green Lane, Bristol, PA 19007 (Calvary Baptist Church) for a MLK Day of Service Informational Presentation (and donuts!). We will package and prepare invitations for residents of Bristol Borough to take part in the 2020 SouperBowl of Caring on SuperBowl Sunday. We will then distribute the invitations to all 2500 homes in Bristol Borough. A tandem event will take place on Sunday, Feb. 2 (SuperBowl Sunday). We will go through the streets of Bristol

The Alliance of Black Social Workers distribute coats to children and adults for MLK Day of Service project. Coats are free and are distributed to the community (both children & adults), in the past several years our organization has also distributed accessories such as hats, gloves scarves to the community. The West Chester Black Social Worker students hold a coat drive prior to the time of the event, and participate in distributing the coats also on the day of the event.

Join Art Sphere Inc. for a morning of prepping art projects for our winter programs! The prepped projects will be used in classrooms in underserved communities all across Philadelphia. Art should be available to everyone -- so come utilize your creativity and help us share the cultural wealth!

Please see above. Organizations that will be there are Central PA Food Bank, STEP AmeriCorps, Lycoming College, and Pennsylvania College of Technology. 2000 Healthy Meal Kits will be packed and then distributed throughout the week to individuals and families facing food insecurity.

Participants will paint and clean the church, clean the yard and have a lesson about Dr. King for the the children.

Trash Cleanup for Martin Luther King, Jr. Day
Help us remove trash at Bristol Marsh Nature Preserve in honor of the Martin Luther King, Jr. Day of Service. The more trash we collect, the less will get washed into our waterways!

Food donation and sorting. This is a food bank that people can go to get food and furniture

Highland's History Club will collect food donations, assemble meals and deliver those meals to a designated food bank to be distributed to those in need in the greater Camden County area.

The Choice is Yours/JEVS Human Services will host its 4th annual Dr. Martin Luther King Day of HOPE (Helping other people excel). We will have a concert at 12:00PM and a luncheon for the staff and volunteers.

The Key Club will assist the residents at the Masonic Village/home with delivering their mail and laundry to their rooms. Giving them iced water. Taking them to the lunch room or hair salon. Sitting and talking to them. Playing games. Helping out any way they can.
