We will be making "Blessing Bags" for a local food pantry. We will be inviting all current students, faculty, staff, and alumni of the college.

We will be collecting food for our food pantry at a local grocery store, and stocking them in our pantry. We rely on monthly food drives to supplement the food we obtain from the food bank. The food bank has a limited amount of options, and we need additional food to help feed people throughout the entire month. The food drive will be held at Casel's grocery store, and the pantry is located at the Jewish Family Service of Atlantic and Cape May Counties office in Margate, NJ.

We partner with Clean Communities to manage the "adopt-a-spot". The opportunity to introduce Stockton students to the work we are doing here at Save Barnegat Bay through a service project of helping us keep our area clean would be wonderful! This will be a Trash Clean up at Browns Woods (40 acres), Barnegat Bay EcoCenter.

A warm winter clothing/coat distribution out of the Stockton Atlantic City Academic Building, with a simultaneous neighborhood membership canvass to reach local households who might need ESWA benefits. Given enough preparation time, local health care professionals like Chintan Shah, owner of Trenton Avenue Pharmacy (located across the street from the AC campus), might be able to participate as well, providing useful public health information on topics like diabetes prevention and management.

Community members as well as students and families from the Schuylkill Center's Nature Preschool Program past and present will be helping out.
We'll work on improving the health of the forest, field and meadows on this 340 acre site. There will be child centered as well as adult service projects available.

The Girl Scouts of Saucon Valley in 6th through 12th grades will be sewing backpacks to be donated to the Doctors on the Streets program in the Lehigh Valley

The staff at E. W. Rhodes Elementary School will continue their endeavor to update school murals and school painting projects. Due to the square footage of the school, there are a number of areas that require painting. The school does not have the funding to cover all of the areas needed so volunteers from the school community will work on different painting projects around the school.

Volunteers are planning the details for the project. As in years past, we will collaborate with local businesses and community partners to assemble care packages for people within our community. Penn Township is already onboard to provide space and marketing to get the word out. We are soliciting others for donations and additional marketing opportunities for the event.

College admissions and financial aid topics will include: what to consider when picking a college; managing application deadlines; how to apply for financial aid; what you should include in your essay; and more. There will also be a college fair.

We will have the adults and children that want to help perform maintenance duties such as sweeping, scrubbing, mopping and wiping down the walls inside the Recreation Center.

Children of all ages will paint commemorative banners. There will also be a children's reading circle where children will be read to from easy reading books that will talk about Dr. King. Contact AARC @ 215.898.0104.

The day begins with historic videos and a speaker on the movement for African freedom and self-determination in the 1960s through today. Then volunteers organize into teams to distribute doorhangers to get the word out about donating, shopping and volunteering with Uhuru Furniture to support the African People's Education and Defense Fund. We are seeking individuals in the community that will help to lead various projects around his/her community.

Arcadia University participates in the MLK day of service by hosting a One-Stop-Drop. Members of the community drop off goods which are allocated to fulfill local nonprofit organizations wish lists. Last 90+ volunteers filled 6 box trucks and 8 vans with needed donations and shredded 1,000's of pounds of paper; providing goods to 9 nonprofit organizations.

We will build a park bench for the community.

Volunteers are need to work with Lott Carey organizers and representatives from various sororities and fraternities to create care packages for those in need.

The church will conduct it's yearly cleanup and minor renovation.

Each year Local Churches, and community development organizations come together to clean up the neighborhood, and bring awareness to the community about the many resources available.

The Office of Community Relations and Berean Presbyterian will host a play that will feature a lesson on civic engagement. all ages are welcome.

The United Way of Lancaster County is reaching out to all of the non profit organizations in our community to coordinate a large-scale morning of Service. Girl Scouts of Troop 9362 will assist the elderly residents of the Gray Manor Apartments in creating greeting cards and 50 Jared boxes for Shriners Hospital as well as The scouts will deliver the Jared Boxes and mail the greetings cards to servicemembers.
