Nonprofit organizations or community groups looking to reach more people may be able to place information in the lobby display case at Lewes Public Library. The library is seeking groups to organize informational displays for a two-week period in its lobby display case which is seen by the hundreds of people who walk through the library doors every day. There are approximately 1,200 active adult guardianship cases in the State of Delaware. These vulnerable individuals are adults who have been deemed incapacitated by the Court of Chancery and have had guardians appointed to make medical and/or financial decisions on their behalf. The Guardianship Monitoring Program is in need of volunteers to meet with these individuals, in care facilities as well as in the community, and to update the court on their current health and well-being.
