Robeson Students will work with members of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. on
● Highlighting HBCUs, including HBCU alumni speakers/presenters and information
● Completing an HBCU staircase graphics display
● Providing information and discussions on the college process including resources and funding for college

Paul Robeson students will participate in a Poetry Slam and Spoken Word Contest. The focus will be based on the theme of the day, "We Have 20/20 Vision and We're Focused on Our Future." Robeson HS teachers will serve as judges. Semi-finalists will be determined the Friday before MLK Day and finalists will perform on MLK Day.

The Martin Luther King CommUNITY Breakfast brings together over 500 community leaders, clergy, public officials and friends in observance of the life and legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. and for fellowship and service. It is the largest event of its kind in Chester County. For the past two years, Congressman John Lewis has served as our Honorary Chairperson. After the Breakfast there is an opportunity for participants to dialogue with keynote speaker on issues of concern in the community.

Girl Scout Troop 9873 wants to make Cohox a better place! All year they have been meeting at the recreation center and now they want to give back. Cleaning, painting and decluttering all indoor spaces. This will give the center a fresh start on a new year of serving the Port Richmond community.

Lower school children will make cards for children in shelters (birthday, Christmas Thanksgiving ,Valentine’s Day etc)

All bags are donated to the Whosoever Gospel Mission and distributed.

The Clean Laundry Learn Paint Bright Futures Project invites Judges, Attorneys and Court Employees partner with Philadelphia Mural Arts and the Mayors Re-Entry Program to paint and beautify the environment of underprivileged students. Volunteers will be painting and collecting laundry detergent, toiletries and personal items to support the schools New Laundry Program.

JRA is looking for volunteers of all ages, backgrounds, and abilities to pack and deliver boxes of nutritious food to our diverse recipient base of 6,000 individuals and families facing food insecurity in the Greater Philadelphia area.

Children of Twin Hill will be making Get Well and Valentine's Day Cards for those in local hospitals and nursing homes.

Children of Twin Hill will be making toys for the cats at their local shelter out of recycled materials.

JRA will also distribute 360 bags of kid friendly food to clients with school-aged children, and will provide toiletry bags to 90 clients. Toiletry bags include diapers, incontinence supplies, paper towels, toilet paper, dish soap, and laundry detergent.

Bridle Path Elementary School is honored to participate again this year in the MLK Day of Service. The entire school will fill breakfast bags with food items and they will be donated to our local food bank for distribution to those in need.
