Making cookies to give a sweet treat to people in hard times and collected canned goods to distribute at the food pantry.

Students and their families from the Lower Merion School District will participate in a variety of projects, from creating Valentines to Veterans, to Dream Flags, to snack bags for families at the Ronald McDonald House, and more projects TBD. There will be entertainment as well.

Join us for a Martin Luther King Day of Service and Art, while exploring Frank Hyder’s Janis Project exhibition and Heads that Make Us Smile, in the Museum and Education Gallery. Learn about Dr. King’s legacy while exploring Hyder’s inspiration from around the world before creating your own head, and sharing ideas on how to promote goodwill in your family, school, community, nation, or world. Participants are asked to bring new hygiene products for homeless shelters.

The Office of Community Relations is partnering with Berean Presbyterian Church to manage indoor cleanup projects.

Temple University's Office of Community Relations will partner with the Beckett Life Center to create a workshop that will engage children and youth on the legacy of the Civil Rights Movement. The agencies will work with the students to create vision boards.

There will be more than 25 projects organized by Abington Friends School allowing for in excess of 600 participants. Projects offered are for all skill and age levels and we partner with 15 different organizations.

Girl Scouts of Troop 9362 will assist the elderly residents of the Gray Manor Apartments in creating greeting cards and 50 Jared boxes for Shriners Hospital as well as greeting cards for military service people. The scouts will deliver the Jared Boxes and mail the greetings cards to servicemembers.

The children of Gaudenzia Centro will do a program to honor and celebrate the life and legacy of Dr. King.
Refreshments will be served.

This is a diverse and inclusive group of the York Community. We invite residents, churches, business owners, non-profits, schools and community leaders. to participate in the hard conversation that community leaders must have to move our city forward. This is our 7th year for the event that we had partnered with the Former Mayor C. Kim Bracey.

At this event, we will be building bat boxes and partnering with The Tookany/Tacony-Frankford Watershed. The bat boxes will be placed on Manor College's Campus. We are inviting current students, faculty, staff, and alumni of the college to join us for this event.
