Thank you to the thousands of volunteers that celebrated Dr. King's legacy by turning community concerns into citizen action on the 18th Annual Greater Philadelphia Martin Luther King Day of Service.
More than 115,000 people of all backgrounds and ages embraced Dr. King's legacy of citizen action in the largest King Day event in the nation. Some 1,600 projects were organized throughout Pennsylvania, New Jersey and Delaware, with many continuing to impact the community throughout the year. The diversity of civic participation resulted in breaking down barriers, creating ongoing partnerships, and helping us realize how much we all have in common.
